Announcements

This spring, I am teaching "Maximizing Joint Gains: How Taxes Affect Business Decisions" on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:30 until 3:00 in WCC B010. Students must bring the textbook as well as their answers to the assigned questions, exercises, and problems to each class. Students do not need  to bring a copy of the Internal Revenue Code: the text is entirely self-contained and includes high-level discussions of all the relevant tax provisions we will consider. Please note that you will not have Internet access during the examination and so should bring to the examination anything you might wish to consult including the textbook, anything you have prepared, anything anyone else in the class has prepared and provided to you, and anything I have made available to the class including my lecture notes. You grade on the final exam will be your grade in the course. Please see the Courses page on this website for detailed information on the textbook, the class assignments, and my lecture notes.

I have office hours this semester on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:30pm - 5:00pm. I also am available via Zoom. To set up a Zoom appointment, please send me an email with a few suggestions for convenient times. I am available most days in the afternoons and evenings as well as on weekends.

Make-up sessions for the two classes we missed will be held on Fridays, February 23 and March 22, in each case running from 3:45 - 5:15, in our usual room (WCC B010). During the reading and exam period, I will have extended office hours, posted later.

My office is 316 Hauser Hall. I can be reached at (617) 495-3159. My e-mail address is habrams@law.harvard.edu.
